What's it all about?

After finding myself single in my mid-50s, I could not find any quality events to go to comfortably on my own. If I wanted to go to the pub and meet up, or on a dog walk with a carvery lunch afterwards, this is not really my thing.

I work hard and like to go to nice places and engage in fun and interesting activities.

I decided to launch Select Events, emphasising singles in their 50s, 60s & 70s coming along to unique events by themselves and making new friends.

I do not call these 'dating' events simply because I am keen to remove any stigma for singles who are not necessarily looking to meet a partner but new friends.

This also means that many singles 'click' with each other without the added pressure to do so.
