I am sure that most of us had our ears peeled back today at 3:30pm to hear how we are going to make our way back to some form of normal life.

So - we begin with two weeks today (8th March) when the kids go back to school, but more relevant for us is that we can meet another person for a cuppa/picnic and a chat outside. This step to many of us is essential to the start of seeing friends, relaxing with them and organising a Spring picnic or even just sat on a park bench with a takeaway cuppa having a natter.

Then we move to March 29th and the stay at home policy ends. We can meet 6 different individuals or 2 households outside. Lets hope the weather is unusually good for the time of year as I will be aiming to run some singles get togethers outside.

April12th, Pubs, Bars, Restaurants open - Outside only, non essential retail, hairdressers/nail salons, self catering holidays and some outside theme parks etc.,

May 17th, Pubs, Bars, Restaurants can open indoors for table service, hotels/B&Bs open, indoor sports, entertainment venues, cinemas, theatres, indoor/outdoor events.

June 21st, No attendance limits on Weddings/funerals. Big venues will open for the first time since March 2020, including nightclubs open.....This will be as close as we get to normal as possible.

I don't know about you, but this has given me a spring to my step today and an excitement that I have not felt properly since this pandemic began nearly a year ago. Its time to dust ourselves down, shake off the lockdown weariness and pounds that have crept up on us with no end in sight. We have a light at the end of the tunnel and BRING ON THE GOOD TIMES!!

Happy Tuesday afternoon everyone.

Firstly I want to thank everyone that came along last Friday night (26 attended) and a few had problems and could not get into the event. We found out that the problem was with the zoom log on due to a recent zoom update.

Please register and check your systems before Friday this week.

What an amazing and fun evening we all had and thank you to all the people who have posted messages and sent me private messages to thank me for such a great evening.

The fun theme (valentine!) of the evening was embraced and this was hilarious in its own right. We had a few new attendees and they settled in and really enjoyed the welcome and craic.

These evenings are your evenings and every one of you that comes along and embraces the easy fun and friendship needs to be thanked and I thank you for making this so enjoyable for me.

This Friday its the quiz as usual and we will have a throw around chat about what are the most things we are all looking forward to when life returns to some form of normal in the next few months - have a think on that one? and as usual the funnier the better :-)

any questions then please email me - info@select-connections.com

Have a great week and see you on Friday.

Jacqui
