Road Map to getting our lives back!

I am sure that most of us had our ears peeled back today at 3:30pm to hear how we are going to make our way back to some form of normal life.

So - we begin with two weeks today (8th March) when the kids go back to school, but more relevant for us is that we can meet another person for a cuppa/picnic and a chat outside. This step to many of us is essential to the start of seeing friends, relaxing with them and organising a Spring picnic or even just sat on a park bench with a takeaway cuppa having a natter.

Then we move to March 29th and the stay at home policy ends. We can meet 6 different individuals or 2 households outside. Lets hope the weather is unusually good for the time of year as I will be aiming to run some singles get togethers outside.

April12th, Pubs, Bars, Restaurants open - Outside only, non essential retail, hairdressers/nail salons, self catering holidays and some outside theme parks etc.,

May 17th, Pubs, Bars, Restaurants can open indoors for table service, hotels/B&Bs open, indoor sports, entertainment venues, cinemas, theatres, indoor/outdoor events.

June 21st, No attendance limits on Weddings/funerals. Big venues will open for the first time since March 2020, including nightclubs open.....This will be as close as we get to normal as possible.

I don't know about you, but this has given me a spring to my step today and an excitement that I have not felt properly since this pandemic began nearly a year ago. Its time to dust ourselves down, shake off the lockdown weariness and pounds that have crept up on us with no end in sight. We have a light at the end of the tunnel and BRING ON THE GOOD TIMES!!
